I’m Heather Tucker Kent and I have a passion for preschool! I
grew up being a part of the TVBC family and met my husband,
Joshua, on a youth retreat held by the church. We got married
in December 2020 and welcomed our sweet baby girl in
December 2021.

I have felt the calling to work in ministry since early high school
but was uncertain how and where the Lord wanted to use me.
Through various mentors, mission trips, and working within the
church in various aspects as a college student, it became clear
to me that the Lord was putting working with children,
specifically preschoolers, upon my heart.

I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting with a minor in
music from Birmingham Southern College. I then worked as a
preschool teacher at The Treehouse ELC at OMPC. My husband
is the youth minister here at TVBC. Getting to do ministry
alongside him and the other wonderful staff members is a
blessing. Getting to help build the foundations of faith in our
babies alongside our sweet nursery staff is priceless.

Two simple joys of mine are discovering new coffee shops and
listening to podcasts.
